Why Working In KL, Is A Must!

Kuala Lumpur or KL is the place to be when you’re working in Malaysia. Although there are many notable places such as Damansara or Petaling Jaya, KL  definitely takes the cake and makes everywhere else look like chumps! (no offense, guys)

Nettium definitely got it right, when they were choosing the destination of our office. Located at Jalan Munshi Abdullah, you can find us smack-dead in the heart of KL. This extraordinary location brings about a million great benefits. (okay, maybe not a million- but there’s a lot!)

But please, don’t just take my word for it – here are some of the reasons why working in KL, is the best.

1) You can munch on whatever you like.

“What should I eat for lunch today?”

One of the most annoying questions on anyone’s mind, especially if you’ve spent your whole morning buried with work in the office but with KL being the capital of a food haven country, worry no more! Kuala Lumpur can serve you whatever your tummy desires, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

From the uncle or aunty by the roadside serving you high-quality hearty meals for a low cost to restaurant chains serving you guaranteed taste.

Either you’re on a budget or not, Kuala Lumpur feeds everyone- and trust me, you’ll be satisfied.

2) Reduce air pollution by taking public transport.

Whether you care about air pollution or not (but if you’re living on Earth, you should), Kuala Lumpur’s public transport system makes wonders in getting around! Either meeting clients, or just exploring the concrete jungle, The LRT and Monorail system makes Kuala Lumpur your very own playground.

Traffic congestion? You won’t even know the meaning of it! With the MRT and LRT, commuting to work is nothing but a breeze. Wherever you live, either in Damansara or Kajang, just enjoy the ride and let the public transport bring you to your destination- stress-free! You’ll never run late again

(and saving the world at the same time, good on you, superhero!)

3) Disconnected? We don’t know the meaning of the word

Let’s be honest, internet connection today is just as important as water! KL’s connectivity is almost at every inch of the city! And we aren’t talking about slow, 1990s, dial-up connection speed but super-fast connection! And you don’t even have to step into an office building, just your local KFC or even a mamak restaurant.

Just take a walk around the streets of KL and the wifi connection options will be so many, it’ll hang your phone!

To top things off, most of the connections are free! Now there’s no excuse that you can’t check your emails!

4) There are so many places to go, you won’t be able to make up your mind!

Kuala Lumpur is home to many great places to visit after work. The concrete jungle is littered with a bunch of venues that you and your co-workers can drop-by after a hectic day in the office, the perfect chance to blow off steam. Moreover, since everything is linked to the public transport system, there is no excuse not to pop-in some renown places!

Ranging from delicious local food markets such as Jalan Alor which goes on till late, beautifully themed and decorated cafes like Merchant’s Lane and even rooftop restaurants, such as Marini’s on 57, perfect for after-work chill sessions- whatever you’re in the mood for, KL has got you covered!

5) English bro, do you speak it?

Answer to that is, YES.

Expats who wish to work in KL do not have to worry about the Starbucks barista not understanding your order because English is widely spoken in KL.

This is due to the cultural melting pot that is Kuala Lumpur which results in mostly everyone communicating in English! So, don’t worry if you get lost and is in need of directions. Just ask any random fella at the side, chances are they’ll understand you!

And last but definitely not least..

6) Views to die for!

KL is home to an abundance of skyrise office buildings and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get a chance to work in one of these buildings.

If you’re high up enough, you’ll get a chance to come to work and look over the beautiful KL skyline.

This is definitely a motivation for work and makes Monday-blues a little less dull.

Imagine, sipping on your morning coffee while overseeing the concrete jungle at its finest- only something Kuala Lumpur has to offer!
